a continually evolving performance in the raga tradition

Avant Media presents the World Premiere of Randy Gibson’s Doleo Æternus, an evening-length performance rooted in the history, tradition, and ritual of North Indian rāga performance through the lens of a completely modern composition. Accompanied by a video-sculpture created by Oscar Henriquez, and a semi-autonomous computer, the performers weave a rich tapestry of drones and melodies.
